FAQ
FAQ
Pick it up. Take it apart. Build something better.
Q01
How does a project typically start?
With a single call, usually thirty to forty-five minutes. Helen asks about the situation, you ask about the approach, and by the end you both have a clear sense of whether it makes sense to go further. If it does, she sends a short scope document within a few days. No lengthy intake questionnaire upfront.
Q02
Can I change the scope once a project is underway?
Yes, within reason. Scope shifts happen, especially in clarity sprints where the real problem often turns out to be adjacent to the stated one. Helen flags scope changes as they come up and discusses the implications before adjusting anything. Nothing changes without a conversation first.
Q03
Do you work with teams outside Ontario?
Yes. Most of the work happens over video call and shared documents, so geography is not a barrier. Helen has worked with teams in British Columbia, Alberta, and Quebec. For workshop facilitation, travel to the client's location is possible and billed separately at cost.
Q04
What do I actually receive at the end of an engagement?
Depends on the service, but always something editable and standalone. Process maps come as annotated PDFs and editable source files. Written guides are in plain Word or Google Docs format. Nothing requires proprietary software to open or update after the engagement ends.
Q05
How do you handle payment?
Invoices are issued in Canadian dollars. A fifty percent deposit is due before work begins, with the remainder invoiced on delivery. Retainer clients are invoiced monthly at the start of each month. Payment by e-transfer or credit card is accepted.
